One day I was sick, but still went to work in the morning and
only went to the polyclinic after the lunch hour...by the time I
finished (after a long wait), it was past 2.30pm, and the
polyclinic doctor expected me to go back to work, until I insisted
on her giving me an mc. 
My ex-co then would happily allow us to go home to rest, but just
produce the mc for records, yet this doctor expected us to go back
to spread our germs.
